Location: Alexandria, VA
Schedule: Day Shift (7 a.m. - 3 p.m.), Every other weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Pay: $24 per hour!
About the Job
As a Registered Medication Aide at Goodwin Living, you will provide care to the residents living in Assisted Living. Your primary role is to protect, sustain, nurture, administer medication to the residents, and provide assistance with activities of daily living and medication management.
Job Description
- Must be knowledgeable of potential medication reactions, and you must monitor resident for such reactions to medications.
- Promptly reports emergencies and other concerns to the appropriate clinician.
- Possesses the ability and knowledge to communicate to residents the purpose of their medications, the effects, and side effects as well as listen to their concerns and assist with problem solving and/or report to appropriate clinician.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height, and anatomical dimension/circumference.
- Meet with the Interdepartmental Team as scheduled or as needed to discuss residents' needs and progress in identifying and correcting problems.
Job Requirements
- Must be certified as RMA and be current with mandatory annual update class
- Two to three years of experience as an RMA
- Graduate of an accredited CNA training course with minimum one year CNA experience
- Must have current CPR certification
