Schedule: Night shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

Pay: We offer pay for RN supervisors ranging from $50 to $52 per hour plus shift differentials and a sign-on bonus of $5,000!

About the Position

The RN Supervisor is primarily responsible for the planning, coordination, and direction of Health Care Center on a designated shift to provide and maintain a high level of quality resident care. In the absence of the Clinic Nurse, the RN Supervisor will also supervise the health care of Independent Living residents. The RN Supervisor functions as a clinical resource person who coordinates communication with the Physician in order to direct resident care on a designated shift. The RN Supervisor is directly responsible for the quality of nursing care administered to residents within clinical areas of responsibility, and actively supports the nursing process to maintain quality resident care and evaluates levels of care.

Key Duties

  • Conducts rounds to clinical areas to determine adequate staffing levels and conformity to standards of resident care, adherence to Goodwin Living policies and objectives, as well as state and federal regulations. Rounds are to be made no less than daily.
  • Provides clinical supervision of nursing care delivery.
  • Collaborates with household charge nurse and other health professionals in planning health care regimen and delegates nursing intervention as appropriate and makes appropriate referrals when beyond scope of practice.
  • Assists the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing in completing performance appraisals for front-line team members. This includes evaluation completion on-time per policy, delivery of evaluation to team members, and review of their PARF.
  • Reports nursing concerns involving other departments, injuries to team members or residents, violation of policy, safety hazards and teaming needs to the Director of Nursing.

Job Requirements

  • Current RN license in state of residence required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Must have a minimum of two years nursing supervisory experience.
  • Must demonstrate interest in and the ability to teach residents and their families and team.
  • Must emphasize commitment to continued professional development through independent reading and study and through self-motivated participation in continuing education.
